It's a nice movie. My expectations were not high because of disneys recent projects but I did enjoy the movie. CGI and effects were nice. Directing and the acting were also nice. But here is the thing...
You will have fun watching this movie. But afterwards when you think about it, this movie was kinda shallow and could have been so much better. We definitely could have got a little less action and more backstory on Han and Chewie. Or a little less pointless dialogue and more connection between the characters. Also, some scenes were simply too convenient. The millenium falcon "crashing" in the asteroid and making it out was simply too much even for Star Wars. When you watch this movie you get that feeling that nothing wrong will happen to anyone.
This movie would have been so much better if they had cut some action and tried to develop more drama and emotional connection with the characters. Also, this movie kinda undermines Hans hero journey from the original trilogy. True Han would keep the money. This movie is definitely better than the sequel trilogy at least.
