It's a beautiful Christian movie. The grandmother (Loretta Devine) in this movie is tough, but filled with compassion and wisdom. She probably had enough experience to learn to protect her kids and grandkids from the dangers of this world.
Kimberly (Coco Jones) was a good MC in the movie. But she wasn't really a main character. More like the side character since her grandma's the star of the show.
The other characters were cool too. Maryland was one of them that stood out to me for some reason. She was mean at the beginning, but became more tolerable at the end. Overall, she's a likable enough character.
I'd recommend it to families with kids 12 and up. This movie tackles topics such as substance abuse, robbery, murder, sex and so on. Viewer discretion is advised!
