This series tends to be all over the place but in Episode 4 there was a very graphic rape scene with Angel Dust which was, i am hoping, meant to be seen as serious. However, this episode uses the implied gang rape of Pentious as the butt of a joke.
Honestly this show can't seem to decide if it wants to tackle serious topics with comedy or not and its becoming more and more tone deaf.
The musical numbers were a bit better in this however Emily amd Charlie have far more chemistry then Vaggie and Charlie which is a shame because one would think the main pair would have some form of chemistry. Alastor appears to have thinner skin in this episode and lashes out at not only Lucifer but Husker as well which felt very out of character for him due to in every other instance we've seen him collected, quirky, and for the most part Calm. This felt forced as if to imply that Husk and Angel are in fact in the same boat, which, has not proven true. Angel is constantly assulted in and outside of work and Husk was...threatened.
As this season speeds to the end I feel this was rushed and jam packed full of music with really no substance, a 5 month time skip which no context as to any progress or healing done by the patrons of the hotel (a poor choice as the whole premise used to be rehab for sinners), and a rape joke...
Not looking forward to any further episodes.
