Polish commercial comedies in the romantic-Christmas theme are a total failure.
26 December 2023
The film, in an apparent attempt to capture the charm and narrative style of "Love Actually," falls short on multiple fronts. Lacking the flair, wit, and brilliance of its inspiration, it delivers a boring and tedious experience. The actors' performances come off as stiff, worsened by a script with painfully inadequate dialogues that lack humor. The plot unfolds chaotically, devoid of any deeper meaning, charm, or originality.

The pacing of the film resembles that of a turtle, making it a tedious watch. One wonders if it was created as a form of punishment for naughty children during the Christmas season. I wonder if the repetitive broadcasting of this lackluster production on various Polish TV stations during the Christmas holidays is intended to rely on viewers' habituation.

The most perplexing aspect is how someone managed to secure financing for another episode of this cinematic misstep. Please stop making this nonsense!

Instead, I would suggest investing in comedies akin to Marek Koterski's series about Adam Miauczynski, which includes hits like "We Are All Christs" and "Day of the Wacko." This series, in contrast, not only achieved commercial success but also encapsulated the unique and brilliant Polish sense of humor.
