The first episode was a 7, the second is an 8. As a fan of the universe the overall action is better than its depicted in the series, and the overall tone is more serious. I had a problem with Riordan's kid orientated jokes as i grew up and seeing it being tuned down is good. Casting is overall good even though they don't stay true to the source materials. The main problem for me was the pacing, they skip over some world building moments from the books that soaks you in the universe but in the series they skip over scenes quickly. I would have liked more time with chiron and mr d like in the books. The first 2 episodes makes me think that it should have been a 10 episode series instead of 8 with 3 episodes for the pre quest sections of the story. I hope the pacing gets better and the world gets more time to be experienced in the following episodes. One last point is the exposition, i prefer the way things were explained in the books, every scene had a small piece of the puzzle while in the series multiple exposition points were gathered into one scene making it seem off and bland.
