This os definitely one of the better war dramas, and an all around standout film of the 1940s.
Made by a great director, and featuring some of the acting elite, this film indeed does wonders, is incredibly well acted and ever iconic.
The actors all do an incredible job, very emotional, very wide range, and all around very beautiful, as one might expect. All of this accompined by a stellar script, which also ranges between thrilling action, and some more somber drama - overall very splendidly put together.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very effective, and features some stellar imagery and action set pieces.
Overall, definitely a standout drama, that I would very much recommend for any lover of film!
