The episodes always start with the judges re-examining the actual submission piece from the nine selected artists instead of a digital image.
Unlike the competition the artists have had as much time as they wanted to create these these works. In this instance I quite liked eight of the nine submissions.
Of the three shortlisted works I only agreed with judges on one of their selections - so I was pleased that the eventual winner was the piece that I most liked.
The surprise for me of course was that the eventual winner had created the only submission that I had not been impressed with when the episode began.
