Revenge shall be a child's.

Warning: Spoilers
Actually, it's several of them, two white siblings and their aboriginal friend, desperately trying to find the men they believe have stolen their beloved horse, one of a rare breed. Veteran Australian star Chips Rafferty is top billed as one of the adults, but it's the kids who steal the film, as kids usually do. Set in the Australian outback during the Christmas holiday, the challenge for the kids is to survive during the holidays, basically a minor element and not really used for anything more than to present this as a family film.

I found it amusing mainly for how the kids survive, and one scene in particular where young aboriginal Neza Saunders tries to introduce the white kids to a few aboriginal delicacies, such as cooked snake and what appears to be fat living grubs. The look on the one kid's face when Saunders downs a big wiggling one is priceless. Probably the oldest film I recall with an aboriginal character, but not one I'd suggest as a holiday film.
