I am aware this is based off of real events (unless it isn't, which is a way worse possibility), however I don't believe everything needs to be shared. Fairly early on in the movie, for example, there's an incredibly unconfortable scene of Lacie and her girlfriend in their honeymoon, I guess, wherein Lacie blames herself and feels gujlty about their weak sexual relationship and sort of forces herself into the sex. And I think it's meants as a #GirlBoss moment for her but it's really not. It's just softcore porn that reads like a noncon Ao3 fanfic. Like, the story itself is fine but these secenes just drag the fim down for me.
