The woman who has been under her sister's thumb forever agrees to marry a local minister, which will cause great distress, including being disinherited. This is fun to watch because for the most part they are cutting their own smug little throats. We have the continuing battle for the opera dollar between the new Metropolitan Opera and the Music Academy. Starting their seasons the same night. We also have the young black journalist with the proud, almost smug, smile heading south and moving on dangerous grounds. I have a feeling she is about to be educated.
