Another month, another server shutdown. Todays contender is actually a really successful, long-running multiplayer game that pits you either against the Japanese or the Americans during Pacific WW2. The game is pretty basic, especially if you've ever played a Battlefield game. There's only 3 maps, all of them being pacific islands that were battlegrounds in real life WW2. The thing that sets this game apart from Call of duty and (at the time) Medal of Honor, you can actually drive tanks, trucks, boats, and airplanes that sometimes level the playing field. Me being me, I usually stay away from vehicles, as they are targets for airplanes and tanks. I liked to be a sneaky summ b***h, walking past oncoming tanks and targeting bases to capture. This game took some getting used to, usually playing for a week or 2 before taking breaks and coming back to it a month later to kill more Japs/Yankees. It didn't take me long to figure out that playing as the rifleman was my favorite class. The mid-to-long-range rifle was best suited for my playstyle, plus it has a grenade launcher that was ole reliable when I missed a few seconds of my shots and didn't have time to reload in time.

For my first true online Battlefield experience, this was a surly fun adventure. After getting to rank 30 (Second Lieutenant Gold), logging in a total of almost 24 hours played (with 730 kills), and finally getting the last achievement (play 100 matches), I ended my playthrough of this game. Definitely turned me into a Battlefield fan, and will be checking out future Battlefield games in the future.
