I am from SD and the reservations need a spotlight shown on them to create awareness. This was a wasted opportunity. From seeing a toddler abusing a kitten to a bunch of teenagers with nothing to do and staring blankly off into middle distance-there is no message. This felt like a high school project gone wrong. I hope she's young in her career and grows in her storytelling. There are many issues that were barely touched upon such as alcohol and sexual abuse, gang proliferation and poverty but no dialogue or direction to follow. This could have been any small town in SD, Pine Ridge needs a redo as there's a lot to be said.
