Federal law does not allow purchasing a hand gun across state lines. So defendant could not have driven to New Hampshire from out of state and bought a hand gun. Unless the dealer was shady. Which means they also should have been charged in the case. Shows involving gun laws always seem to ignore the finer points of said laws.
