I liked the trial and what Izzy explained was so powerful. "The law is law" is such a huge and broad statement to just be throwing out there, and despite "listening" to what the defendant is saying, the judge just overrides it because of their biased opinion. It's just an unfortunate thing that happens a lot, being titled as "justice." That aside, I knew there was something up with Jace's dad, and I'm glad Clary did too. What was such a huge letdown was to find out Valentine is the father of both Clary AND Jace. Now, this could totally be a lie because as we saw in the other dimension, they were still romantically together while Clary had the same parents. But if it's not, I'll probably have to stop watching because familial relationships and romantic relationships mixing is not my cup of tea. I will continue to see how it goes but hopefully, this can get settled to a point where I'm not uncomfortable.
