After waiting 2YEARS for the 3rd season WOW was this a letdown. The first 2 seasons were so well done but this first episode feels like it's not even the same show.
There was simply not enough "segue" between the seasons, the story seems to have nothing to do with the previous 2 seasons (what happened during Covid, what about that tell-all book, etc???), and overall the production overall seemed too "slick" or something. I didn't connect to the characters at all (maybe something to do with the amount of Botox being used on the actors!).
The story about going to space was RIDICULOUS. It was so improbable and also terribly unoriginal. I basically forwarded through the last half of the episode and will likely not even watch the rest of the season.
I really LOVED the first 2 seasons, watched both 3 times. Maybe killing off Mitch Kessler was a bad idea!! There just wasn't enough tension/story (or believability!) between the main characters, I don't care about Jon Hamm's character at all (or that storyline), and Billy Crudup is wonderful as always but too much of Cory isn't a good thing, imo.
