I watched this when I was 15 years old, whilst doing my O levels. We had our Granada rented television, during an age bereft of digital features like rewind, plus one, catch up or streaming. I was fortunate enough to have watched it live on the BBC.
Over the years, it was the only TV program that I remember with fondness. I bought the VHS tape, but now my VHS player has been condemned to the tip, I cannot play the tape sadly.
It was a beautiful love story in a very sci-fi-lite setting. Of course, it would be cool to win the pools, National lottery, Postcode lottery in the way that Dominick did in order to show his love. If time travel could be perfected, this would surely be top of the list for would-be travellers.
I love this show and now with the digital age, I can watch it on Iplayer without having to luckily come across it on Play For Today, any time, mobile or otherwise. I cannot wait!
