Then, for a shining 50 years, young girls could dream of being Olympians, astronauts, master plumbers, soccer stars, mountain climbers, scuba divers, jet pack jockeys, Triple Crown riders, truckers, brick masons, tympani players, carpenters, concert pianists, brain surgeons, violin soloists, nuclear rocket engineers, bronc busters, pro wrestlers, taxidermists, boxers and tons of other things formerly forbidden to expectant mothers. Now the pendulum is swinging back to the Dark Ages.
