This film is an adaptation of the novel 'All the Names' written by the renowned author José Saramago.

The actors' performances and the story's theme were excellent, but the screenplay had potential weaknesses.

It is not clear to me why Jalal did not get angry at all when he was beaten,Unless Jalal had fallen in love with Bita. Someone who resembled his spouse but wasn't ill.

I'm not a fan of black and white movies. The notion of some people always having good intentions and some people always having bad intentions is outdated in today's understanding of human behavior.

The attempt to portray Jalal and Bita as innocent in the movie, and the mistaken judgment about their relationship, turned people into black and white categories. Perhaps if the story had developed in a way that an emotional connection between Jalal and Bita had formed, it would have been more reasonable.

The difference with the original story is the same because Saramago does not see people this way.

In the end, I must say that the presence of Jalal's father in the final scenes of the film stirred my emotions. For a moment, I thought it would be wonderful if there were people in this world similar to those we've lost. Perhaps we could find solace by being alongside them.
