The story centers around the naming of a new EU commissioner. While this is a signiiicant post, it is of little use for political climbers. Apparently, getting sent to Belgium is a sentence of boredom. I don't know a lot about the Danish hierarchy, but it is obvious that like most systems, the dominos start to fall. Bent refuses the post at first, but then changes his mind. What Birgitte doesn't realize is that he has health issues and this is realized too late. She is also vilified by the press who use false statements to hurt her. The news at home continues to be challenging and she has enough adversaries to keep her running in circles.
