Night of the Killer Bears (2022) is a movie from Thailand 🇹🇠that I recently watched on Prime. The storyline follows a group of friends who haven't been around each other and after getting back together...they discover why. Meanwhile, as they settle their differences, a serial killer dressed as a bear starts taking them out one by one.
This movie is directed by Kanphong Banjongphinij, in his directorial debut, and stars Sananthachat Thanapatpisal (Bad Romeo), Patchata Jan-Ngern (Girl2k), Chanagun Arpornsutinan (2gther) and Panisara Rikulsurakan (The Promise).
This is one of those movies with a cliche storyline, annoying characters and a great killer. If you can get past my first two points, you'll enjoy the third one...because the kill scenes in here entertained me a ton. Yes, there's some CGI blood; but the hacking, killing and gore were all top notch. I can't say I loved the conclusion, but I already made a mental note to look past the storyline and enjoy the kills. I definitely found this worth a watch.
Overall, I would only recommend this to horror enthusiasts looking for a unique slasher picture. I would score this a 4.5-5/10 and recommend seeing it once.
