I saw this movie in 1988. My daughter was 2. I sat in my living on the floor and cried and cried as I watched it. The movie has haunted me to this day. (2023 now)
I had searched many times for the name and simply got lucky searching today. There is so much homelessness now that this movie seems even more relevant today.
The lead actress was superb. The store front doorways where she sleeps trying to keep her child warm broke my heart. She pulled on my heartstrings and when she gave up her baby. Her unselfishness blew me away.
If this movie ever becomes available to purchase I know it's one to get.
Perhaps a viewing or two should be shown to our leaders in our communities too.
