Even if it's like this in the books, it's still boring. The episode is not boring because of the lack of action. It's too long and Ciri talking with herself all the time, and stating the obvious, is unnatural. They probably write it like this, because they think, their audience is stupid. It's not enough to show that Ciri is running in a circle, she has to say it, because otherwise we wouldn't notice. Netflix, we're not stupid. When there are skeletons lying around, I wouldn't say: "here's no food". I'd think there must be something around, that has killed the animals or people. So there might be food, but the food could think, that I was the food.
