Season 3's decision to exclude Simon from the spin-off show of his movie was very strange. Everyone understood Victor needed to grow past Simon's advice but the show lost the core of its hook. Simon and Victor could've evolved beyond mentor and mentee. This show has such an odd evolution I love it dearly but why didn't we ever get updates on Abby, Nick, Leah? Simon and Bram are everything but why did the cores of the original disappear. Simon doesn't even mention them in conjunction with his advice. When you hear Felix ask: "oh yeah Simon, whatever happened to him?" It's FELT. The final season and Simon had no presence. It really hurt the show. Why couldn't Victor share his joy and not just his anxiety? Disappointing.
