To correct the other review, saying the passenger plane could not carry anyone, you can clearly see passengers getting into the body of the passenger plane (thought a door with windows) forward of the open cockpit. You can also see the plane's registration G-EAVR, and it is listed as a De Havilland DH.6 (although I suspect it is really a DH.9 which was a bomber frequently converted for passenger use). Previously they flew together in a twin-cockpit aircraft which appeared to possibly be a trainer variant of a Sopwith Pup. Overall the series is to be commended for the accuracy of all the period details, which add to the viewer's enjoyment of the show and it's many minor mishaps and melodramas.
