Gimple must have watched Army of the Dead and/or Train to Busan 2: Peninsula and thought, that's a great backdrop for yet another TWD spinoff. The flimsy story about Maggie and Negan is completely forgettable. The show is all about the big-metropolis-full-of-zombies aesthetic, which already starts getting old in the first episode.
If you've long stopped watching the original TWD and its other spinoffs, and if you've seen one of the two movies mentioned above, you can spare yourself watching this snore fest. It's fascinating how a series can be so full of violent action and at the same time so incredibly boring.
