Seriously, Bobby Cannavale is such a delight in this episode. He goes from unhinged to maudlin so well and makes you really understand the character in a short amount of time. I don't think I'd care for this episode if not for him.
...And that's because Pete Davidson just can't stop going to the "my dad died on 9/11" well. Jesus, how many times are we going to have to watch this story from him? Yes, losing your father at a young age changes you. I lost mine when I was 11; I get it. But he's basically leveraged the 9/11 aspect into an entire career, and it's so very stale at this point. It's the "I threw 4 touchdowns in 1 game at Polk High" of Pete's life.
I will admit, however, that it was very sweet to see the actual photos of Pete at the end.
