Decent, but...

Warning: Spoilers
On its own, this is a perfectly acceptable movie. The animation and characters are fine, and there's nothing in it that I would deem harmful towards its target audience of small children.

My main problem with this movie is that it doesn't really know what it's doing for the majority of the runtime. First it seems the issue is that the Care Bears won't be able to hold the Giving Festival because of the bad weather, but then they forget about that and start with this anthology sort of thing. The anthology made some sense in the Rescue movie, since it was an award show, and was presented like a short film festival in universe, but I don't understand the point of it here. Then at the end, we get a completely random climax that is introduced and then resolved in like five minutes. While it's nice to see Princess Starglow again, this subplot really didn't need to be in the movie.

Also, this may just be a me thing, but I really don't like the look of the CGI Adventures in Care-a-Lot movies. Sure, Journey to Joke-a-Lot and Big Wish Movie are probably objectively worse, but the CGI AiCAL movies just look so flat and soulless.

Not the worst Care Bears thing imaginable, but certainly not the franchise's high point.
