By this point you're counting down the remaining episodes in the series so introducing yet another random DC superhero for a single episode is not interesting. No Tess, no Oliver, no Chloe. Its now just Lois and Clark well on their way to recreating... Lois and Clark!
For context I watched Smallville for its original plots and the characters. For me the series was at its best when it was original and new and not seeking to imitate every previous iteration of Superman. I am not a heavy follower of DC comics and the increasing number of cameos from Season 8 onwards are rarely enjoyable. This is one of the worst, it's a full on cringe fest.
Definitely an episode for the DC fanboys rather than the casual viewers.
