A synopsis for this series promises some kind interweaving timelines treatment of three characters and yet the actual storytelling is noticeably lopsided in favor of one character who gets to have his life and hard times discussed very much more in depth than the other two main characters. In typical "Hollywood" fashion, this character's inherent victim status is well illustrated along with subtle and not so subtle unfair characterizations of America's current favorite boogeyman.
The non linear storytelling approach is kind of a pain in the neck for a lot of viewers but at least the filmmakers thought to let us know with simple text graphics when we are in the past, the present, or the future. That said, it IS annoying, I have to admit.
I'm not a fan of the casting choices which seem to be based on an agenda in the industry as of late rather than being representative of actual reality.
