Rewatching season 6 was very important for me, because it allowed me to notice this first half of season, wasn't as great as I remembered. The strangler's storyline was one mystery too many. And they should've just stuck with the Boleyn family secrets, and the drama between the veterans. The feud between Lynette and the Solis family, in particular, is uncomfortable. And make Gabby and Carlos look bad. Katherine's depression storyline, went overboard. And also made Mike and Susan look bad. Especially Mike, who literally gave a knife to someone with suicidal tendencies... But I'm glad she's finally committed in this episode, and her freak out scene with Dylan, was greatly acted. Which leaves us with the Karl/Bree and Orson love triangle. That made all parties look bad and hypocritical. And that loser nurse blackmailing Angie. And even though Angie got petty and too desperate trying to cover her tracks, this part always make me root for her. The old couple causing the plane to crash, was very funny and one of my favorite part of the episode, too. Though this badly titled Winter finale, ended on a frustrating cliffhanger. That got even more frustrating, with « if... », simply postponing everything, with depressing fictional world stories. « Boom Crunch » was the best Christmas episode, for a show like Desperate Housewives. And marked the beginning of a new drop in quality for the series.
