Perhaps I just don't have experience with relationships and how they work, and I understand Sally still experiences trauma from the time with her husband, but to me it feels off. Barry in no way was justified for yelling at Sally a few episodes earlier, but Sally breaking up with him because of it?
To me barry has usually been fairly nice to Sally albeit some minor setbacks that were usually in the beginning of season 1. After that point, their relationship only get closer and stronger so to me after another minor setback it seems odd she breaks up because an acting friend says two sentences to her about Barry being a violent guy and she decides to break up with him a few minutes later? It genuinely makes no sense to me and only makes Sally from being unlikeable to unbearable.
