Bad Direction and Poor Script Writing!
24 April 2023
*KISI KA BHAI KISI KI JAAN (2023) -*

It's Salman Khan's family entertainer with stunning action, superb styles, large scale drama, and brutal conflicts... but wait! These all reverses against poor script writing, weak storyline and ineffective supporting star cast. Film has one and only Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu and dozens of newcomers in supporting cast. It also shows known looks of Bhumika Chawla, Satish Kaushik, Rohini Hattangadi, Tej Sapru, Jassie Gill and Bhagyashree; but they have been used as fillers merely to increase the number of characters.

In the movie Salman Khan (Bhaijaan) is a violent man, who lives happily with his brothers and uses violence to settle disputes with anyone. Since childhood, he decided not to marry to take care of his 3 brothers. And he also hopes that his brothers too do not marry so that no one comes to disrupt their lives. However, in forced circumstances Bhaijaan falls for the Bhagyalakshmi (PoojaH) and develops intimacy with her. Later Bhaijaan gets to know that PoojaH's brother (Venkatesh) and her family are in trouble due to their past rivalry with Nageshwar (JagapathiB) and sets out to protect them. Now will Bhaijaan be able to save that family from goons and what was that past rivalry form the crux of this film.

The story of the film is very feeble without any depth; and it's written badly as well such that all looks scattered and not a single character has built up progressively. Still first half of the film is entertaining with the whistling entry scene, comedy, fights, music, and romance. But second half literally torments the audience with the kind of events and incidents that is out of minds. Plus, film has 8 songs and 3-4 are literally seemed forced ones which halts the pace.

Overall, I liked the splendid entry scene of SK, Actions in the first half, Few Songs, The family values shown and Beauty of PoojaH. After interval I got bored with the dragged scene sequences, one pathetic dream sequence, songs without reason and actions/fighting without pretense. With that I would like to rate it as 2.5 / 5 (🌟🌟💫). Watch at your own risk!

*What I Liked Most? -* The entry scene and that metro train action sequence.

*P. S. -* In the end, since they knew audience would not whistle or cheer at all, actors themselves piteously started whistling and cheering in the film. Sigh!
