Cynicism disguised as Easter eggs
9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If you're looking for an animated alien adventure, I'm afraid you're in the wrong place. Let's get the truth out there, this isn't a movie. This is a feature length advert and music video for Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez. The "movie", that is almost devoid of anything original, is liberally smattered with a staggering array of Rihanna and J Lo songs that are nowhere near good enough to warrant general release but are deemed good enough to bump their fees for "starring" in this vacuous attempt at a movie.

As for those "Easter eggs", the film relies so heavily on nods and references to other sci-fi franchises (they even called the music production company Stargate for crying out loud!) rather than feeling the need to have an actual story.

In short, there is zero originality, zero story, zero fun. Avoid.
