Embarrassing lack of knowledge on the behalf of the creators
8 April 2023
In England a child cannot be taken away from their parents without a court order. It is a complex and lengthy process and many judges rule in the parents' favour unless in very extreme circumstances. There is no such thing as a speedy adoption. Dangerous fiction pretending to be a social commentary by the Portuguese film-makers who did not bother to research. Some reviewers even compered the film to those by Ken Loach but Loach portrayals are actually grounded in reality, not made-up, shock-value pap. During the supervised contact with parents no police is present. No social worker would stop a mother communicating with her child because she was using sign language. Hearing aids are free on the NHS. Embarrassing and offensive gibberish.
