Fairly interesting

Fairly interesting from the perspective of a French man. Americans are so prude, yet so incredibly hypocritical in their practices, it's hard to make sense of it. JFK was such a philanderer, to such a pathological extent. His dad was such a terrible guy. His wife was such an opportunist. If that's not a power couple to celebrate for their cunning, but no, somehow you built a narrative that's pretty much the opposite of who they were?

The country played offuscated with the Monica Lewinsky affair, as if a president having extra marital affairs was a novelty. As if using power to get sex were new. Then fast forward you elect Trump who's so incredibly appalling in his behaviour. Then you look at the Biden family, how deviant can they reasonably get?

Half of your marriages end in divorce with how many of those marred by infidelity. And how about the other half? Maybe it's time to admit it?

It's just so incredibly hypocritical. Are there people actually buying into your puritan narrative? Were there ever? If you are, what does it say about you? Wake up? Grow up?

So the documentary wasn't bad, but it felt pathetic, for America really would gain from being more honest about itself. Just say the truth, you'll all feel better.
