Before this show, Leslie Neilson was already a "star", having appeared in many movies and TV shows. However, he was later to become a much bigger star starting with his comedy role in Airplane and moving on to the Police Squad movies, among others.
But Hawaii 5-0, as was often the case, cast a couple of actors who'd go on to better things. Perry King had a couple of big mini-series roles and became a guest start staple. However, there's also a brief appearance by Bruce Boxleitner, who went on to make Tron and star in four TV series, with only Bring 'Em Back Alive lasting only one season.
Now for the episode itself? Pretty pedestrian, but you do see Jack Lord ride a horse. If you miss this one, you haven't missed much.
