A joke of a show, and probably intentionally so.

Warning: Spoilers
What comes after the self-loathing cringefest that was Zenkaiger, and Shirakura's second attempt at "saving" the Super Sentai franchise. This time, he brings back the oh-so-popular screenwriter Toshiki Inoue rather than the bottom tier Junko Komura for a more ambitious toku show.

The problem is that alongside Inoue we have a lot of staff that worked on many older tokus and they're all past their prime and are comfortable with just trying to replicate their previous successes. Don't get cocky, Inoue, this show's plot is just a bunch of random nonsense borrowed from your past Sentai and Rider shows without any cohesion. This show is what Inoue haters used to mock him about, forced nonsense for the sake of cheap drama.

Fortunately, the cast is pretty decent this time around. There are a few good characters, like Taro, who is a rather believable and interesting take on a "perfect" hero. There's also Kijino, the pink hero, whose plot about about keeping and losing his wife is one of the better parts of the show, IMO. The rest range from nice but underdeveloped, like Shinichi, to forgettable, but none come of as offensive... except maybe Haruka, but a lot of people love her so... go figure.

The villains aren't good either. Actually, the show pretty much gives up on having any conflict for the sake of its half-assed attempt at redeeming the Noto trio. (They wish they were as cool and nuanced as the renegade Orphnoch trio from Kamen Rider Faiz.) All that is left from that point are the Hitotsuki, who were actually a rather interesting concept but then were reduced to mere jokes with awful excuses for why they came to be.

From there, it's really hard to point out an aspect about the show that didn't end up being underwhelming. The suits are ugly, and the CGI effects for pink and black are hideous. The anniversary aspect was completely pointless and unnecessary, the heroes barely use their "Avatar change" and all the other references to past Sentai are just shallow, so is like any other cynical Hollywood nostalgia cash-grab. Man, remember when anniversaries were a big deal? This is just another stain in the legacy of Sentai as a whole. You can totally tell that Inoue didn't care about that at all, just like he didn't care about some storylines like Zenkaiser's and Murasame's.

So, yeah, aside from the cast and a few good songs, this show is just another waste. Which is pretty sad considering that the better parts of the show were in the early episodes, when we had earnest acts of heroes fighting villains ending with that sweet, uplifting ending song. If you want a better watch, I recommend Choujin Sentai Jetman and Kamen Rider Faiz, since Donbrothers is just a weaker version of both shows' ideas.
