This episode was, in my view, the best yet. Not a clicker or bloater in sight, but a critical part of the game retold in a fantastic way.
The portrayal of David as a cult-like monster who has his people under his thumb and doing the unthinkable was very well played out. The appearance of the excellent Troy Baker was a brilliant addition to this episode as well.
The key piece of this episode, though, was the performance of Bella Ramsey, particularly in the closing scenes, was absolutely incredible. The situation of David attacking Ellie, after earlier attempting to groom her, was horrific, and Ramsey's performance got across the horror, the fright, the disgust and the desperation of her situation. Truly remarkable for an actor of their age
And the "Baby girl" at the end. Heartbreaking and poignant in equal measure.
