Review of Iratta

Iratta (2023)
2/10
There was so much potential!

Iratta was not bad actually, it's just that it was told in a monotonous way and took a usual path to unveil the mystery😔

DELICIOUS

-Iratta was by far Joju George's best performance. He meticulously added a small flavor that made a big difference in identifying Pramod and his twin Vinod.

-As the saying goes "when you feed a serpent milk, its venom only increases" and that's what we saw in Iratta. When bad conduct is not corrected or punished, it later escalates and causes damages. We'll just stop right here to avoid spoilers 😑

-The rest of the cast supported Joju George really well

BLAND

-Few segments were missing logic: women who have just escaped an abusive and brutal man will not move in with a strange man, however, Malini did so without objection😬 How did officer Bineesh quickly recognize a girl he saw once during a scuffle?

-What seriously deflated Iratta was the typical way the story was told: there was the usual set of already-identified suspects, then additional characters came into the picture, and finally the revelation.

There was not much to look forward to as we had an idea of what was going on. Additionally, it became tedious to constantly see Pramod or Vinod in every scene. The lack of a parallel story affected the movie

-More intriguing and dynamic camera movements could have helped make the film more interactive and spice up the thrill.
