I just recently found out about Leiji Matsumoto's death.
While I was aware about the existence of Captain Harlock thanks to some anime magazines, in many ways these Daft Punk videos from Interstella 5555 were my "official" introduction to his work.
Like I said in my review of that movie, the 70s retro-anime aesthetic fitted the story like a glove, and any other type of visual simply wouldn't have been as effective, nor as memorable.
"Too Long" is the ending sequence from the tale started by the One More Time video, and I think it was a very satisfying conclusion, which sadly is often overlooked.
May Matsumoto rest in peace, being always fondly remembered by his work.
