Pelant is back and seeking vengeance. The episode starts with his parole hearing. While everyone but him is emotional, he sits and looks like an altar boy with his excessive innocence. Of course, that's what he is after. He has the ability to control all the modern machines: telephones, surveillance equipment, video cameras, sound, on and on. What he is doing though is going after Brennan. A friend of hers has been murdered (he is in prison for psychotic actions) and it has been set up so it looks like Brennan is the murderer. Booth, of course, flies off the handle and beats the guy up. Even though they know what he can do, they fall for his tricks. Brennan's father has a stopgap measure and that's how the season ends.
