No Exit

Warning: Spoilers
There is a famous French play called "No Exit" that places three characters in a room in which they torment one another psychologically for eternity. "A Neighbor's Vendetta" adopted a similar structure with the triangulated relationship of Sonja, Jason, and Mia.

Sonja had the unfortunate experience of having an affair with her employer. He never told her he was married, and he died while on the phone in a lurid conversation with Sonja. Cause of death: Erotic asphyxiation. The widow discovers the kinky conversation on the man's cell phone and traces it back to Sonja. Then, the vendetta begins.

If this film had been produced in black-and-white, it would have been a fine example of film noir. There was excellent dramatic tension in the cat-and-mouse game played by the widow Mia. The performances were terrific, and there was an especially strong ending. The final moments were so good, that the film cries out for a sequel: "Mia Strikes Again!"
