The final scene when Jeff comes up to Britta to congratulate her on her dance performance, Britta passive aggressively jokes and asks where his date is. Jeff tells her she had a lot to do with him and professor Slater getting together ... *and the way her lips immediately purse as she tries not to cry* ... and he continues "if I can handle having a girl for a friend, who's to say I'm not ready for a girlfriend?"

The rollercoaster of emotions she goes through in this quick thirty seconds of dialogue makes this one of my favorite scenes from the series: excited that Jeff came up to her and they're tucked away talking alone, asking first hand whether or not he and Prof. Slater are serious, hearing they are, *trying not to show that she cares*, and Jeff calling her a friend. All while looking in his eyes and wondering: is he doing it to make her jealous? Does he really want all of this or would he rather be with her?
