My mind is set for the rating of this film to be 3/10, but my heart gives it a 5/10.
Very peculiar movie, "The Lover." Very ballsy too, especially for a 90s flick. The script in this film isn't exactly what I would give a good review on, it's the chemistry of the 2 main actors. The love he has for her, it's definitely a wanted love that every girl desires. & desire is a big key point for this movie. I just wish that her character wasn't so shut down on matters of her heart. She felt she didn't deserve to be loved, therefore she kept her feelings deep inside locked away. But she did love him, & the ending, their golden yrs, (much more golden on his age though since he's 18 yrs older than her!) He calls her & tells her that she was the 1, the woman he only loved, (sucky for his wife) but it's a beautiful erotic movie, that you can't help but to love or hate it. I choose love!
