I loved the swedish film, but always thought there were things missing from the book. This film has it all - and Tom Hanks. A perfect role for him - he IS Otto/Ove. It is american, yes - the family next door is mexican, Otto and Sonya goes to Niagarra and so on. But aside from that, the film is one of the most perfect book-to-movies I have ever seen. The only actor I knew was Tom Hanks, biøut the rest of the gang is also very much their role and does a great job. Even the cat - it must have taken some redos... Fredrik Bachman is the best author I have ever read, so films over his books is both exiting and scaring to me - this film turned out only exiting.
