A bit of a roller-coaster

Warning: Spoilers
This film I have been excited about for weeks, I wasn't completely let down but it would be unfair of me to not be completely honest.

Before I go into my review though, it's important that we take a minute to appreciate that this is a small media company who's primary focus is on live paranormal investigations, managed to pull together in the 11th hour a feature length film on little to no budget. Despite All my criticisms (and plus points!) This is a feat that shouldn't be taken for granted, it's fantastic what you all have done!

Okay, now the film started off pretty staccato to be honest, I felt like the cut between scenes was quite jarring at times and didn't flow seamlessly until the middle and end when the editing got better now given my previous point I reckon this is associated with experience. I reckon the editor as time went on got better with experience. I felt like there wasn't enough fade for a transition and jumped back and forth a lot.

There is a genuine look of fear on Aurora's face and you can see that the things that are happening are genuinely happening, now considering this starts off as a live social media event that should further prove the authenticity of what is happening. So in regards to "acting", top notch (even when it did become acting at the end! Till highly convincing)

However that being said, I felt like the end could have been fleshed out a little bit more particularly around the table in regards to the possession, atmosphere is important but it felt like Callan didn't know what to say? Almost a impromptu performance that felt almost like winging it.

I felt like a lot more could have been said/done here in the moments that passed it didn't last long though as things took a dramatic turn again with fights happening and restraining.

Again though I felt like it sorta jumped too quickly like why is Aurora suddenly wanting to committ suicide? I felt like a lot that should have been explained, wasn't. I understand the concept of a cliffhanger buy I'm hanging on my a fingertip.

The location was beautiful though and definitely a fantastic place to shoot.

The biggest plus though is that it held my attention I have ADHD and honestly I'm the worst for getting distracted I can't even string a sentence together without having 3 other conversations interwoven. So this film managed to hold my attention.

The music was very wel placed and apt for the scene at hand so I also praise that.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this film and would like to watch it again.

I think overall, this has been very good for a first attempt and I can't wait to find out more of what happens.
