Apple Pie (1975)

Extraordinarily bizarre

"once upon a time, in a very far and distant land there was a magical kingdom. Some likened it to baghdad, while others called it oz. Yet, there were those who simply breathed... manhattan."

This movie is simply a work of art. It's a surreal little adventure. I found it amusing yet unsettling in the best way. Tony Azito is a gem. I wasn't really sure what I was watching at first, the plot was a bit difficult to follow, but I'm glad I stuck around. Everything in this movie feels intentional, I loved the vintage 1970s aesthetics and soundtrack. This is art house filmmaking at its best. It is very hard to describe the plot and the movie itself. There was parts of it that felt borderline Lynchian dreamscape on an LSD come down.
