I'm glad Short Round can still find work, and maybe Indiana Jones could have added some sense to this, but a bad take off of Buckaroo Banzai that runs 2&1/2 hours isn't great cinema. It was like a low budget Jackie Chan remake of '2001 a Space Odyssee' and they never leave the planet, do more emotional quarreling than kung fu fighting, leaving the ending needing a space baby to hug and instead you get a bagel, with no cream cheese. After reading all of the rave reviews about this movie and finally watching it I started to believe in alternative universes and suspect I must be living in one because 'Big Trouble in Little China' deserved an Academy Award before this turkey.
