Quite the pilot episode!

Warning: Spoilers
I was actually pretty excited for this series when I was announced way back when. Not just because I tend to enjoy a good anime here there, but because this is something that maybe should have happened a long while ago. Serial westerns and samurai kinds of stuff seems to have inspired George Lucas decades ago to create one of the most infamous franchises to date.

That being said, this was a legitimately great little story. Not one of the deepest episodes of Star Wars or a show at all for that matter, but it more than makes up for that with it's choreography, animation, grit and just enough lore and intrigue.

A (possibly former) with lord who just wanders around hunting current Sith Lords? That's just so cool and something you perhaps wouldn't see in the canon stuff. I thought all of the weaponry looked pretty dope too.

The animation is seriously breathtaking, and I did enjoy the titular duel. It really does feel like a classic Ronin film. It'll be interesting to see what the rest of this show is about. I'm just glad to have more star wars content.
