This film had a lot going for it, with its cast, characters, and overall plot. But Slumberland failed to do really anything interesting. Now I will say this is a fun film for a family to watch as its filled with enough adventure, special effects and funny moments to keep its target audience entertained. So I'll give it its props for that. But the film just constantly went with the simplest way to tell a story and for a story of its caliber, it should have tried to be told with more mystery or magic. The film had a roller coaster of emotion throughout which was a nice touch. But when you get to Slumberland, all the dreams just felt kind of boring. Overall while it wasn't my cup of tea and I found it lackluster. I'm sure that families will enjoy this film as a whole. So I'll give it a 6/10.
